Driving to SkiTAM?
Both Denver International Airport and the Vail/Eagle Airport offer a selection of car rental companies. The following directions will help you navigate to SkiTAM HQ at the Vail Cascade Resort. Since parking is limited to hotel guests only, we suggest you check into your hotel and take one of the local shuttles to the Cascade.
If you are driving from the East or Denver International Airport:
Take Peņa Boulevard from airport to I-70 West. Stay on I-70 for approximately 100 miles and exit at the Vail west exit #173. Go around the roundabout, go under the highway to the next roundabout. Follow 3/4 way around and follow signs to South Frontage Road/Vail Village. Turn right at Cascade Village sign which is located on the right approximately one mile.If you are driving from the West or Vail/Eagle Airport:
Take the airport road east to US 6. Turn right on US 6 heading east. At the traffic circle, go 3/4 of the way around to Connection Road . From Connection Road, take I-70 East towards Denver. Take Vail west exit #173. Enter roundabout and follow signs to South Frontage Road/Vail Village. While in Vail, ground transportation is rarely needed. The Town of Vail provides free transportation along the town and frontage roads. Town of Vail bus stops are located close to everything and run regularly until 1:00 am. In addition, SkiTAM will have special shuttles running on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from the Vail Cascade Hotel to specific destinations.Since a car is not needed in Vail, you may prefer a shuttle service from the airport. We recommend Colorado Mountain Express (CME). CME Shuttles leave from DIA approximately every 90 minutes meaning a convenient time for you. We have arranged rates with CME of $80.30 from DIA (one way fares). This includes the fuel surcharge but does not include driver gratuity. They also have special rates if you wish to charter a private vehicle such as a van or sedan. For more information and reservations, please call 1-800-334-7433.
