APP Overview

SkiTam The Athlete Partner Program (APP) was developed in 2002 to support the US Adaptive Ski Team (USAST) athletes in need of additional funding beyond what SkiTAM and other sponsorships provide. The mission of the APP is to diminish the financial uncertainty and allow athletes to focus on their racing and realize their dreams. We created a way to connect athletes in need to a non-profit funding mechanism supported by the generous donations from the broadband industry. You can become the force behind these world-class skiers!

Since its inception, the APP has tried to align with coaching goals of the USAST to create and encourage the best skiers in the World! The program has grown significantly due to some amazing companies that support this vision. Having such success encourages the APP program to evolve along with that achievement. We strive to help facilitate the grooming of the best competitive group of athletes and coaches to lead the world in ski racing. Contributing to the APP helps do just that.

SkiTAM/APP Rack 'Em Tournament Raises Thousands for USAST Athletes

The SkiTAM/APP Rack ‘Em Poker and Pool tournament, held at Wynkoop Brewery on Thursday, October 29th, enticed 114 people out of their homes and hotels during a freak Denver snow storm to play in a tournament with professional pool player, Melissa Little, aka, The Viper all for a good cause.

The event raised was $5,860, all of which went directly to the APP fund for the USAST athlete’s training, travel and other needs as they gear up for the 2010 Paralympics.

USAST athletes Alana Nichols and Gerald Hayden, USAST alumni Marc Romero, and 2010 National Ski Hall of Fame inductee Jack Benedick were also among the attendees and the competitors.
